The WIL Academic Coordinator will report into the Learning & Teaching Portfolio and will sit operationally within the Industry Engagement unit, which has operational responsibility for Work Integrated Learning for the College of Business.

The key function of the role is to ensure that College of Business students have the opportunity to experience high quality industry placements and enhanced employment prospects by growing, developing, implementing and evaluating WIL placement programs in the College of Business. The role will be the Course Coordinator for the Cooperative Education Program and the Business Internship suite of elective courses.

The role will have academic oversight for the courses and will require a current understanding of Work Integrated Learning practice and pedagogy, as well as contemporary knowledge of the business environment and the skills required by employers now and in the future. The position will include promotional and academic activities to ensure that RMIT students, staff, alumni and relevant external partners are aware of, and participate, in WIL programs; and plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of the programs.
