About the role
The Institute for Interactive Media and Learning (IML) supports the university’s learning and teaching mission by working collaboratively with faculties and academics on all aspects of the curriculum and students’ learning experiences. The Teaching and Curriculum Team (TACT) within IML is currently recruiting for an Associate Professor (Curriculum Design Lead) to provide strategic leadership within the team.
The focus of this position is to lead curriculum projects and initiatives and oversee professional learning programs. You will also be responsible for leading research activities and actively engage with professional societies within higher education.
About you
As an Associate Professor you will have demonstrated experience in leading large scale systematic initiatives that build learning and teaching capacity and capability and extensive knowledge of curriculum design and development. You will have excellent interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to inspire, engage, and support teams across the university. To be successful in this role you will have:
• Extensive experience in working collaboratively with Faculty leaders and course teams to design and implement new course-led, professional practice approaches to curriculum
• A PhD in Higher Education or Professional Practice Education or equivalent
• A proven track record of research in higher education learning
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, supervise and mentor an academic team
Base Salary Range: $164,560 to $180,395 pa (Level D)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.
This position is full time, on a continuing basis.
