FULL – ‘A framework to support institution-wide quality assurance of work integrated learning’ – an ACEN Research Grant project

A collaboration across QUT, RMIT University and the University of Sydney has developed a comprehensive framework for the institutional assurance of quality in work integrated learning. Responding to a gap in the current literature, this framework has been developed through a twelve month engagement with WIL academics and practitioners across the Australian higher education sector.

The framework has been developed around four domains of practice (student experience, curriculum design, institutional requirements and stakeholder engagement) under which are mapped a set of standards of practice and examples of good practice.

The project team will be facilitating workshops early in 2020 to explore the framework and consider how it can be implemented within Australian universities – the first of these will be held in conjunction with ACEN (Vic/Tas) in Melbourne.

Resources from the project, including the framework, are available at https://research.qut.edu.au/wilquality
