About the position

As a member of the Worked Based Learning (WBL) Academic team, the Lecturer (Industry Placement) will assume responsibilities for scholarly activities, subject coordination, and teaching within the suite of university level undergraduate and postgraduate subjects focused on Industry Placement.

These subjects are specifically designed to aid students in cultivating employability skills across various professional settings, encompassing domestic, cross-cultural, and international environments, to become career ready and life capable.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have

  • PhD degree or completion of a postgraduate qualification, with subsequent professional work experience; or completion of an equivalent level of training and professional practice experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to be effective in teaching and curriculum development in face-to-face, blended and/or online modes, as evidenced by, for example, high results on student feedback on teaching surveys relative to their peers, or through other forms of evidence.
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills and relevant experience in work-based learning, employability and/or career development curriculum development and pedagogy.
  • Evidence of innovative initiatives undertaken in the last three years that have improved the student experience.
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) discipline knowledge or experience preferred, however not essential.
