International students consider improving their employability a crucial aspect of studying overseas. Employability is crucial to the future success of students and the sector, yet the impacts of COVID-19 and global economic conditions are making this more challenging than ever. The future of work is changing, and international students need to be equipped with the skills and experience to ensure their success. So how do we best equip international students with the skills and experience they need to succeed?

Hear from people who are taking action to improve student employability through work integrated learning, entrepreneurship, and more. Moderated by Janelle Chapman, executive director of TAFE Queensland International, and presented by:

  • The Hon Phil Honeywood, CEO of the International Education Association of Australia;
  • Judie Kay, who led the Australian Collaborative Education Network’s involvement in the National Work Integrated Learning Strategy for Australia;
  • Mustafa Kadir, industry specialist in building student entrepreneurship;
  • Professor Sarah Maddison (TBC), leading strategic academic innovation and change as Pro-Vice Chancellor at Swinburne University.
