ACEN President Michael O’Connor said: “This comprehensive review into tertiary education includes ambitious recommendations for evolving the sector.

“These recommendations aim to increase access to and equity in higher education, provide more effective funding models, increase industry and community engagement with universities, and increase return on investments in research and innovation.

“In particular, ACEN notes key recommendations relating to increasing quality of, access to, equity in, and integration of work-integrated learning across all disciplines from undergraduate courses to higher degree research candidates.

“ACEN endorses these objectives and will continue to work with leading sector stakeholders to help realise these worthy aims for the benefit of students, universities, industry, and the community.”
