The Symposium will bring together ACEN members, the WIL community from Queensland tertiary institutions, industry partners, and students to showcase and discuss issues, challenges, and best practice in Work Integrated Learning. The symposium is run in conjunction with the Australian Collaborative Education Network (ACEN) and will be held at The University of Queensland on October 9, 2019. The ACEN Queensland Chapter Meeting will be held from 11:30am – 12:30pm, with the symposium proceedings running from 1pm – 5pm.
The symposium will feature a combination of WIL related presentations, panels, and discussions. Through creating a space for the exchange of ideas and experiences around WIL, and facilitating networking opportunities among key WIL stakeholders, the event hopes to improve WIL practices and experiences for students.
The event will also act as the end of year celebration for ACEN and the UQ Work Integrated Learning Knowledge Network and will therefore conclude with networking drinks and nibbles.
The event is a Work Integrated Learning Project coordinated by UQ Business School Events students under the guidance of Dr Sheranne Fairley, Senior Lecturer.
