Expressions of Interest – Company Secretary for ACEN

The ACEN Board has made a decision to call for expressions of interest from suitably qualified members to act as Company Secretary.

The role of Company Secretary provides strategic and governance advice to the Board, and ensure ACEN’s compliance with regulations and reporting.  An ideal nominee should have:

  • A sound understanding of corporations law and its application to not-for-profit, companies limited by guarantee
  • Experience in administration, governance and board management
  • Reasonable understanding of the operations of a board, including financial reporting and director support

Any person submitting an EOI must be at least 18 years of age, ordinarily residing in Australia, and suitable to be appointed as an officer of the company.  The nominee is not required to be a member of ACEN.

EOIs should contain a short CV (not more than 2 pages) and letter highlighting suitable experience, and should be addressed to the ACEN President via admin@acen.edu.au

This role is a voluntary appointment, but some funds may be made available to support ongoing professional learning relevant to the role and support of the ACEN board.
