The Symposium is for active WIL researchers or those with an interest in WIL research.
Participants at this symposium will have the opportunity to work with a group of colleagues to develop and present an outline for a research project that investigates a particular aspect of work-integrated learning.
Participation will require some preliminary reading and preparation.
The Welcome Address will be given by the Western Sydney University Vice-Chancellor and President, Prof. Barney Glover.
Venue transport
There will be free transport between the Conference venue, Macquarie University, and the Symposium venue,Western Sydney University (Parramatta South Campus).
Concurrent events
The Research Symposium is on at the same time but a different venue to the Pre-conference workshops.
Fee
There is no fee for the Research Symposium.

Travel and timing
Bus between conference accommodation at Macquarie University and Western Sydney University
If you are staying at conference-related accommodation at Macquarie University, then a bus will pickup at the following times;
8.00am - Medina Serviced Apartments North Ryde - 2-12 Busaco Rd, North Ryde NSW 2113
8.05am - MGSM Executive Hotel - 99 Talavera Rd, Macquarie Park NSW 2113
8.10am - Travelodge Macquarie North Ryde Hotel - 81 Talavera Rd, North Ryde NSW 2113
8.40am - Western Sydney University Parramatta Campus, Parramatta NSW 2150
The Bus will be dropping off participants in front of Building EB at the shuttle bus stop.

Parking information for delegates coming directly
Delegates coming directly are to park on Parramatta North campus only. Parramatta North campus is connected to the main campus by a free shuttle bus service which runs approximately every 10-15 minutes between the hours of 6.30am and 10.30pm. Delegates are to allow for an additional 15-20 min for parking and travel time across campuses. The campus is also connected by a walking route which is regularly patrolled by Campus Safety & Security Officers.
Parking at Parramatta North Campus requires Pay and Display one day parking permits which can be purchased from the permit machines on campus.

Delegates coming by public transport
There is a public bus stop located in front of Parramatta South Campus. Delegates can take bus M52, 525 & 523 from Parramatta station to get to this stop. Alternatively, delegates can use the interactive travel planner on Transport NSW for up to date travel information.
