Train: Macquarie University train station is located on the corner of Herring Road and Waterloo Road, North Ryde. The station is close to the campus (a 10 minute walk to the conference venue), with services running approximately every 15 minutes to and from the city. Transport services
Bus: The university is also serviced by regular buses, with stops located both within the campus on Balaclava Road and University Avenue, as well as near the entrances to the Macquarie University Train Station and Macquarie Centre (located on Herring Rd). Transport services
Car: If travelling by car, parking is available on campus and will be free during the period of the conference (there is no need for a permit). The X3/W4 (West 3) car park is the easiest to locate and can be entered via the University from Balaclava Rd, off Epping Road. Campus map
Conference venue
Macquarie University is in the suburb of Macquarie Park about 18 km northwest of Sydney. Founded in 1964 it was the third university to be established in the metropolitan area of Sydney.
The university's five faculties, the Macquarie University Hospital and the Macquarie Graduate School of Management are located on the university's main campus in suburban Sydney.
The university is the first in Australia to fully align its degree system with the Bologna Accord.
