WIL Manager vacancy

Work-Integrated Learning Central Unit, Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academic, University of Waikato 

The Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) Central Unit has been established to ensure every undergraduate student is presented with the opportunity to undertake some form of work-integrated learning as part of their qualification.

The University is seeking an enthusiastic and well organised person who relates well to a wide range of people from a variety of backgrounds and cultures and who has demonstrated experience creating positive relationships across key stakeholders and external partners.

In this position you will be responsible for maintaining central oversight of all operational WIL processes at the University. You will establish and maintain connections between University staff and industry, employers, researchers and professional bodies to create collaborative relationships and facilitate the University’s WIL programme. You will identify opportunities to strengthen staff and student engagement in WIL and make recommendations to ensure the WIL programme continues to improve graduate outcomes for University of Waikato students.

You will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the tertiary sector and preferably knowledge of Work-Integrated Learning practices. Comprehensive knowledge, understanding and experience dealing with strategic priorities in education and external engagement are essential.

Commencing salary will be in the range of NZD $93,748 to $95,000 per year depending on qualifications, skills and experience.
