Dear potential partner

Since the first conference over 10 years ago, ACEN has been committed to providing opportunities for collaboration, sharing innovations and providing inspiration that allows our broad and valued community of WIL researches and practitioners to excel. In these exceptional times when we can’t physically get together, we understand the importance of networking and professional development remains as critical as ever.  As such, we are excited to deliver our first ever WIL Virtual Summit on the 27th – 28th October, 2020.

RMIT and Deakin University are collaborating to ensure our WIL Virtual Summit 2020 provides exceptional connections for universities, industry partners, government, and community organisations worldwide. Without the constraints of travel expenses, professional development has never been more accessible and we hope to increase attendance beyond our planned traditionally located conference capacity to welcome more than 400+ stakeholders across 75 organisations from Australia and beyond.

We are thrilled to launch our WIL Virtual Summit 2020 Sponsorship Prospectus. Here you will find more information about Australian Collaborative Education Network Ltd. (ACEN) and how you can support the WIL Virtual Summit 2020.

We thank you for taking the time to read our Sponsorship Prospectus, and look forward to working with you as a proud sponsor of the WIL Virtual Summit 2020. If you have any questions, feel free to email us at kathryn.whitney@deakin.edu.au

Regards,

Judie Kay
Chair, ACEN Conference Committee

Work Integrated Learning (WIL) is an ‘umbrella term for a range of approaches and strategies that integrate theory with the practice of work within a purposefully designed curriculum’. Specifically, WIL is aimed at improving the employability of graduates by giving them valuable practical experience which is directly related to courses being studied at university. WIL also improves the transition from university to work and productivity outcomes for the employer and the economy. WIL currently exists in various forms including: internships; cooperative education; work placements; industry based projects; community based learning; clinical rotations; innovation incubators; micro- placements.
